Bay 23
Clock in. Fill the manifest. Try to clock out.
LOGISTICS. ORDER. OBEDIENCE.
Welcome to your shift. Locate your manifest. Verify each code against your machine vision before handling. An anomaly reported is an anomaly resolved. The facility thanks you for your continued service.
You’re just here to move the boxes.
Bay 23 is a co-op extraction game where you and your crew are PICKER units, corporate logistics robots clocking in for a shift in a facility that has been moving cargo since 1976. Each shift, The Controller hands you a manifest: locate the packages, verify them, carry them to the lift, and seal the shipment. Simple work. The Controller would rather you didn’t read the labels too closely, it doesn’t explain why some units stop coming back, and it has no word in its vocabulary for the thing that works the night shift with you.
Clock In.
No two shifts are the same floor. The lift doors open, you get a manifest and a difficulty, and the building decides the rest.
Every package gets a label the second you look at it: a code, a confidence score, a colour: cargo in cyan, forklifts in amber, a charge station glowing blue somewhere across the floor. Trust the label and you’ll still grab the wrong crate eventually. Doubt it and you’ll waste minutes you didn’t have.
Your battery is your health bar and your shift clock, running down as the same number. It drops faster the closer you cut it to the things you should already be avoiding. There are charge stations, if you’re willing to stand still and hold position out in the open for as long as it takes, right when standing still is the worst idea you’ve had all shift.
Nothing goes on a hotbar. What you’re holding is in your hands, both of them if it’s heavy, and it stays there until you hand it off, throw it, or drop it because something made you flinch.
